Heroes!

I have had a wonderful week so far! Monday night was the kickoff of QMG’s 2012 Gold Medal Moves with Jackie Joyner Kersee. Who. as many of you know, is a hero of mine. She did the Pound for Pound/Biggest Loser Club segment with me last year, and we had a blast! Then we did the Back to School Help Fair in Quincy last year, and seeing her with those kids was such an awesome experience. She inspires me to be a better person, and give back to my community.

Coach Carrie Kimber also fits pretty high on my list of personal heroes. She gives so much of herself to promote health and wellness in my community. And now she is a member of Team USA for the 2012 Triathlon World Championships. Carrie will be representing the United States as she competes against athletes across the world in Spain on July 29, 2012. Carrie has also won the Women’s Master’s Division of the Ultramax Championship Series for 2011. AMAZING!

Another hero of mine ia a young lady by the name of Nicole Wilkins. She is the reigning IFBB Figure Ms Olympia. She is gorgeous, fit, and SMART! I may never step on a competition stage, but I do love to train like she does, and hope, with continued hard work, that my body will someday be even close to as ROCKIN’ as hers is:) But she minces no words when it comes to the hard work it takes to achieve and keep a physique like hers. It will not be easy, but with hard work, it IS possible:)

And then there are MANY others who fall into what I call my heroes. They may not know it, but they are people who inspire me to keep going. Those who struggle daily on their journey to health and wellness, but KEEP GOING! The workout instructors who give it their all at EVERY class to help Me be the best ME that I can be. The people who show me their support through love and friendship.

They are all heroes in my eyes, and I hope that I continue to show them ALL my respect by continuing on MY path to health and wellness throughout the rest of my life.
