Day 29 – Build Some “Shelf” Esteem!

HELLO HAPPY FITNESS FAMILY!!!What a beautiful day! I only wish I could be out of my basement office to enjoy it more. Especially since I am feeling a bit under the weather. My hubby hasn’t felt quite right the last few days, and now I am feeling the same way. Not really “sick”, just a little low on energy and “icky” belly. Strange.

Today would have been a wonderful day for me to have stayed home and worked on our 2nd to last Confidence Builder!  I can not believe how fast this time has gone!  I have learned so much about myself.  Some good, some things I still need to work on, but we are all works in progress, right? 🙂
30-Days To a More Confident You!Day 29 – Build Some “Shelf” Esteem!

Shelf Esteem? Yup! Whether it be a shelf or a scrap book, or even just a journal, have somewhere that you can put your accomplishments. Celebrate even the smallest victories! You lose 1/2 a pound? CELEBRATE IT! Thinking, “But it was only half a pound!”, is silly! It IS a reason to celebrate! Because slow progress IS progress. Small victories add up to equal GREAT progress!

Remember that your health and fitness is something you are training for longevity! It is not just a sprint to a “happy ending”! There is no end! But along the way, you will see your first definition line in your bicep….TAKE A PICTURE! You may walk your first 5k….DISPLAY THE MEDAL! And the day you reach your FIRST goal? Your FINAL GOAL? Take note of these days! CELEBRATE and keep memoirs of them!   I must admit, that I have not done this for many of my accomplishments, and therefore forget all of the AWESOME things I have done in my life.  Especially since I began my “Road To Fitness Journey”.

Here are just a few things that I forget to “Make Some Noise” about occasionally.
THE DAY I GOT TO SHOOT A NATIONAL SPOT FOR BIGGEST LOSER CLUB ONLINE AND FEEDING AMERICA THAT AIRED DURING THE BIGGEST LOSER ON 4-19-11

THE ON AIR SPOT!
MY FIRST BIKINI(even if it did have a skirt! LOL!)

You will never regret the stumbles along the way near as much as you will regret never trying to begin with! It is hard. I know! Do you think losing the weight and now working to keep it off still 3 years later is easy? NO! But is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! If I hadn’t overcome my addictions and become a “success story”, and shown that I am “real” with real life struggles and not all “magic pills and quick fixes” would you still be reading this? More than likely, NOT! It is our struggles and victories over those obstacles that make us strong! I honestly don’t give myself much credit for many of these things very often. But through this 30-day exercise, I have been reminded that I am WORTHY of GREATNESS! We ALL are!
So go out and MAKE today GREAT!

Head UP! Shoulders BACK! Smile ON! Now get out there and take on the world!!!
