Self Abuse

The time has come
All those years of putting me last
All the time I should have paid attention
The signs were in my mirror every day
Now I get to see the damage I’ve done

If this goes well
I will put myself first
I will not take this gift for granted
God only gives you one
I will not abuse mine if given a second chance

Time has run out
I have to go
I would ask for well wishes
But do I deserve them
I am the one who abused me
