Confidence Builders Days 19-21

Another busy weekend in the books!  And Monday is going to be even busier, so here are the last 3 days’ Confidence Builders! –

DAY 19 –

30-Days To a More Confident You!

Day 19 – Call Out Your Posse!

To build your confidence, you want to surround yourself by other like-minded people who have a positive attitude and will help you build your confidence and support you in your dreams.

Build your “posse” of those people, and kick out anyone who is negative or believes you can NOT reach your goals. If it is family or someone that you can not kick out of your life totally, tell them how you feel, how important it is to you, and that if they can not help you, that you at least need them to stop trying to hold you back. If that is not something they can do, then limiting your exposure to those people will simply have to be limited.

As harsh as that sounds, seriously…who wants to spend all their time with a “Negative Nelly”? NOT ME! And I won’t!

Find your happy, or at least don’t try to diminish mine, or there is not a place for you in my “Posse”.

Let’s MAKE this a GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Head UP! Shoulders BACK! Smile ON! Now get out there and take on the world!!!

DAY 20 –

30-Days To a More Confident You!

Day 20 – Challenge Your Negative Self-Talk!

This takes us right back to having a positive attitude and surrounding yourself with positivity. That MUST start between your ears!

I have to head out for now, but will be back to revisit this later this afternoon.

Head UP! Shoulders BACK! Smile ON! Now get out there and take on the world!!!

***I never got back in to talk about this more, but The time is NOW to ditch the Negative Self-Talk!  SERIOUSLY!  It does absolutely NOTHING for you but tear you down!  You wouldn’t talk to someone you love the way you talk to yourself, right?  Well now is the time to start loving yourself enough to only lift yourself up, NOT tear yourself down.   You can either be your biggest asset, or your biggest liability.  Which will you CHOOSE to be?***

DAY 21 –

30-Days To a More Confident You!

Day 21 – Sort Out The “Shoulds”!

What does this mean to me?

Sometimes, the word “should” is a BAD word! I used to put too much pressure on myself to look a certain way because I thought I “SHOULD” look like that. And then I would beat myself up because I didn’t live up to what I “should” be. Well what I thought I should look like, was the women on the covers of fitness magazines. Then, I was told that most of them don’t even really look that perfect! Lighting, angle, the right flex at the right moment, and even airbrushing sometimes help them obtain that “perfect look”. So in that sense, I dropped the “should’s”.

On the other hand, sometimes I use the word “should” to put things in order. Because sometimes what I want to do and what I should do are two different things. I have to remember to match my “should’s” with my goal over my wants. I may WANT a big cheesy pizza in the middle of the week. But I know that it will NOT help me reach my fitness goals. It is OK to have a couple pieces for my cheat meal on Fridays, but other than that, I know that I “should” skip it.
Same with exercise. There are nights after work, that I would truly LOVE to just sit and have a little down time and brush up on my couch cushion molding skills! LOL! But would that get me closer to my goals? It is important to remember that your “should’s” are there to get you to your goals. What you SHOULD do, is the difference between what you want NOW and what you want MOST!

More than anything in the world, I want to be a healthy and fit role model and help others reach their personal health and fitness goals. So SHOULD I have couch and pizza nights? YES! But they should be the exception, NOT the rule!

Head UP! Shoulders BACK! Smile ON! Now get out there and take on the world!!!

accountability

I will work on making posting in here a SHOULD on my “To-Do” List, and get in here more often! I am even going to experiment with dong a few video blogs.  Mainly, because today I start my T25 Challenge with myself!  I am going to KILL this program!  In 10 weeks, I am aiming to get back to where I was when I felt I looked my best.  Maybe even BETTER! 🙂
